Welcome to Diving...

The undersea world is fascinating, exciting and mysterious, the last great wilderness on earth. You will be amazed at the variety, profusion and colour of the aquatic creatures that can be found, not just in tropical waters, but also around the coast of Britain. Learning to dive enables you to see this amazing world for yourself. The choice is yours; once qualified you can take up marine photography or archaeology, explore wrecks or just enjoy watching the marine life from the smallest to the largest on earth, both in the UK and abroad.

Whatever your ultimate aim diving can offer an exciting and rewarding pastime for years to come.

Already dived before? We welcome divers from all other diving agencies. Just bring along your training log. Any additional training will still be free.

Interested? Then why not come along to Currock House any Monday between 7:30 and 8:15p.m. for a chat and arrange to have a TRY DIVE in the pool.

About us...

Our club has been in existence for over forty years and is the oldest Sub-Aqua Club in Carlisle and North Cumbria.

Carlisle SAC is affiliated to the Scottish Sub-Aqua Club (SCOTSAC), which was founded in 1953 and has more than 70 active branches in Scotland and the Border region.

We dive all year round and visit the local Lakes, Forth of Clyde, St Abbs; Eyemouth and Loch Long for both recreational and training dives. We have an annual trip abroad - usually Egypt - and arrange long weekends to places like the Isle of Skye, Farne Islands and the Sound of Mull.
